Welcome

The Pacific Northwest/Western Canada Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy will be held on March 9 - 11th at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR.

The keynote speaker will be Catherine Wilson (CUNY Graduate Center), who will present "Hobbes and the Laws of Nature."

Travel
Portland is served by the Portland International Airport (PDX).

Downtown Portland is a short (20 minute) cab ride from the airport.

Lewis & Clark college is a moderate cab ride from downtown Portland. However, it is cheaper and easier to take the Pioneer Express Shuttle, which departs from downtown at Pioneer Square, in front of Nordstrom's, across the street from Starbucks. Lodging
A block of ten rooms has been reserved for participants of the PNWC SEMP, at the Benson Hotel, in Downtown Portland. The rooms will be held until March 5th.
