Ruth Odell Hall is the smallest of the coed halls. It houses 72 men and women on two floors in double occupancy rooms. The rooms are large and feature movable furniture, and convenient walk-in closets. Large picture windows brighten the rooms. This hall is smoke-free.

"SOA, Stewart, Odell, and Akin Halls, is a living and learning community on the west edge of campus. Living in SOA is your opportunity to make a difference, both for yourself and for those in the LC community. Starting with New Student Orientation and continuing through final exams in April, you are in command of your experience at Lewis & Clark.

Stewart Hall is our substance-free community. This community is dedicated to people making healthy choices that enhance educational and social pursuits.

Odell Hall is a smoke-free community, connected to Stewart Hall. Odell is centrally located to classroom buildings and Templeton Student Center.

Akin is the oldest hall at LC, celebrating its 50th anniversary in the 1999-2000 academic year.

The SOA community is enhanced by the presence of eight Office of Residence Life staff members. We are seven student Resident Assistants and me, Fid Castro, a full-time, professional Resident Director. In addition to these staff members, we have a liaison to Campus Safety, and housekeeping and facility staff members who are integral to the success of our community." -- Fid Castro, Stewart/Odell/Akin Resident Director.
