Summer Housing Information

Campus housing and meals are available for single students. The College does not have accommodations suitable for couples, families, or students under18 years of age. Most rooms are double occupancy and all must be reserved in advance. Summer rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, desk chair, and dresser. Students must provide their own bed linen (standard twin), towels, mattress pad, blankets, pillow, clothes hangers, and study lamp. Free Voice-Mail is available in each room, provided the student brings a telephone. Long distance calls may be made from residence hall rooms if the student has a long-distance carrier, otherwise, charge-a-call units and pay phones are available outside the residence halls. Collect calls may not be accepted in the room. There is Ethernet network connection in each student room. Detailed information about required system software is available from Information Technology at 503-768-7225 or e-mail infotech@lclark.edu.

The residence hall has a central lounge, card access laundry machines, and kitchen facilities for snacks. Kitchen facilities are not stocked with cooking utensils, plates or flatware. Summer residents may receive and send mail from the campus Mail Room, open Monday - Friday 9a.m. - 4p.m. The College Bookstore, operated by Barnes & Noble, is open for text books and sundry items, Monday - Thursday, 8:30a.m. - 4p.m. and Friday 8:30a.m. Ð 2p.m.

Current Students and ISALC

Lewis & Clark students should complete a summer housing contract available in the Residence Life office or by downloading it here (PDF). Submit the contract no later than April 22, 2002. No deposit is required if you currently reside in campus housing. If you live off campus, a $50 deposit must accompany your completed contract. Housing for students not enrolled in summer session may be assigned on a space available basis only.

A meal plan is required for undergraduate (and ISALC) students living in the residence halls during the summer. Meal plans include 14 or 21 meals per week, Sunday through Saturday, served in Fields Dining Room in Templeton Student Center. Meal hours: breakfast 7a.m. - 8:30a.m., lunch 11:30a.m. Ð 1p.m., and dinner 4:30p.m. - 6p.m. For current campus residents, housing between the end of Spring semester and the beginning of Summer session (May 9th - May 18th) will be provided at no additional charge. As soon as all contracts have been processed, you will receive specific instructions regarding your move to your summer room. Every effort will be made to accommodate your roommate requests. Single rooms are limited. Double/singles, if available, will carry additional rent.

Room with 14 meals/wk: $220
Room with 21 meals/wk: $250
