How To Use This Website

The content of this website caters specifically to the family and friends of someone diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome. Educational information and resources have been arranged and placed into four collections: "Concept," "Context," "Consider," and "Contact." Here is what each collection contains:

ConceptPuzzled about fibromyalgia? What causes this syndrome? What are the treatments? This collection of articles will help you develop a general understanding of the syndrome.

ContextFibromyalgia effects not only the person diagnosed, it also effects the lives of family and friends. This collection of articles discusses the challenges fibromyalgia places on family life and ways you can cope.

ConsiderIf you looking for suggestions on how to improve daily living, this collection of articles provides you numerous tips and strategies on managing life with fibromyalgia.

ContactDo you need more information about fibromyalgia? Do you want to talk with other well spouses and partners? This collection will help you find the people and resources you are looking for.

Design Overview

The main pages on the Fibromyalgia: Resources for Families website are designed with the following components:

    1. At the top of the browser window is a header indicating where you are in the site.

    2. Bellow the header is the title of the content page with the name of the author and date of the last revision.

    3. The green column on the left side of the browser window contains a graphic image corresponding to the area of the site you are viewing. The green column may also contain navigational links to the four main collections of content on the website (see description above).

    4. The gray bar at the bottom of the browser window contains navigational links to the Home, Map, About Site, and Feedback pages as well as this Help page.

    5. The remainder white area of the page contains the main body of text.

Navigational links to other areas of this website are located at the top and bottom of every content page.

Viewing the Site

This website utilizes frames. If you prefer, you can also browse the site without frames by using the Site Map to locate and navigate between articles of interest.

In order to view all the features of this site, please be sure java is enabled in your browser preferences. The site is best viewed using Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x at a screen resolution of 640x480 or higher.
