Pre-Conference Trip (Complete)
December 29, 2008 – January 5, 2009
India is a vast mosaic of different cultures, religions and languages offering an unparalleled wealth of experience. The seven day trip includes guided tours of museums, galleries, temples, historical and archaeological sites and educational institutions. The group will see the Taj Mahal, ancient Hindu, Buddhist and Islamic architecture, the Gandhi Memorial, etc. An orientation session is planned on arrival to acquaint participants with main topics on Hindu/Buddhist society, culture, and religion. There would also be two workshops for participants on yoga/holistic medicine and music and dances of India. The trip starts from New York (JFK) on December 29, 2008 and ends in Calcutta on January 5, 2009.
During their visit to India, the following features are characteristic of our tour groups.

International flight arrives late evening. We will take you to the hotel on your arrival on December 30, 2008.

Post-Conference Trip (Land Only)
January 9, 2009 – January 15, 2009)
Post-Conference Trip begins on January 9, 2009 and in Kolkata and ends in Madras on January 15, 2009. The post-conference trip will include visit to Konark, Bhubaneswer, Madras, Mahaballipuram. In Konarak we will visit a magnificent sun temple. The temple constructed by Narasinha Deva of the Ganga Dynasty, was built in the mid-13th century. In Bhubaneswar, we will visit the capital of Orissa, Known as the "temple city of India", there are innumerable ancient temples of typical Orian architecture. We will also visit Khandagiri and Udyagiri hills and caves. In Madras we will visit famous temples, the Burma Bazar, the National Art gallery and the Government Museum which stores a vast collection of the best South India bronzes and archeological remnants of the Amaravati Buddhist Stupa. Trip to Mahaballipuram will give show us the earliest known examples of the Dravidian architecture.
