As soon as you hear the phrase "Workplace Violence" thousands of images run through your head.

The Hand of workplace violence reaches everywhere. Literally, the phrase refers to violence-- defined as a rough or injurious physical force, action, or treatment --which occurs at one's place of employment. So if you work at a school and some kids get shot, it's "Workplace Violence". If you work at home and you beat your wife, that's "Workplace Violence". With the concept of the workplace expanding to encompass just about everyplace we are during the day and night, from the home, to the office, to the great outdoors, so too does the concept of violence committed in the workplace. This topic has successfully permeates every facet of just about everyone's life. From the postal worker, to the stock broker, from blacks to whites, women and men, no one can escape the outstretched fingers of The Hand of workplace violence.
