Latin American Studies

Latin American studies is a minor focusing on the social, cultural, artistic, and historic aspects of Latin America. It can be combined with a major in any of the fields offered by the College of Arts and Sciences. Faculty from various departments design the curriculum along with a student proposal for course of study. Students minoring in Latin American studies must go on an overseas program to Latin America. Programs travel to such countries as Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Mexico.
