Anthony C. “Tony” Abena ’86
Tony graduated from Lewis & Clark with a B.S. in international affairs. He received his M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Minnesota in 1993. While at Lewis & Clark, he served as Vice President for Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB) in 1985 and led the creation of what is now the popular SAAB student tutoring program that provides academic tutoring services to fellow students to help them succeed.
Tony currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Insite Software, an e‑commerce software and data business that serves mid-market and enterprise branded manufacturers and wholesale distributors in the U.S. and Canada. He is the former Managing Director and COO of Deloitte Investments, the internal venture capital fund and growth accelerator for Deloitte LLP, the world’s leading professional services firm. Previously, he served as President of the US Law Firm Division at Thomson Reuters, the leading provider of integrated information solutions to the U.S. legal market. He was responsible for developing strategy and launching new products and services throughout the United States for over 200,000 customers with over $1.5 Billion in revenues. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Mr. Abena held a variety of executive roles at Gartner, the world’s leading IT research and advisory firm. He has co-founded and sold two technology companies. He currently sits on the boards of three early-stage technology startups.
Tony is married to Stacy (Manning) Abena ’88 who earned her B.A. in communications and resides in Minnesota with their four children.
