Trustee Biography: Peter D. Chang

Peter D. Chang was born in Taiwan and came to the United States at the age of fifteen. After completing high school in the Portland area, Mr. Chang attended Lewis & Clark College and graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international affairs. Mr. Chang went on to earn a Masters degree in international management from The American Graduate School on International Management in Glendale, Arizona.

Mr. Chang joined Aircastle Advisor LLC, an aircraft leasing entity, as the Executive Vice President of Marketing. During his twenty-five years in the industry, Mr. Chang helped to build airplines in China as a member of the McDonnell Douglas team and sold McDonnell Douglas commercial jets to Chinese airlines. He later founded, and is currently Managing Director of China Aviation Marketing Services, a consulting firm. Mr. Chang is also the president of Chang Brothers, Inc.; owner and operator of Chang's Mongolian Grill, a chain of restaurants.

Mr. Chang, and his wife Alice Fajen Chang (’74), have two sons.
