Jamie L. Forman ‘81

Jamie Forman is a member of Oberman Thompson & Segal, LLC in Minneapolis, MN. Jamie’s practice is primarily business litigation. His cases often have a time urgency or crisis component to them, including applications for restraining orders or injunctions. The cases also frequently involve marketplace and competition related issues, including: non-competes, confidentiality agreements, trade secrets, independent contractor status, vendor/supplier/customer contracts or relations, trademarks or copyrights. He is a past president of the LC Board of Alumni. He has been active with the American Bar Association (“ABA”) as he is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a Fellow of the ABA’s Young Lawyers Division, a past chair of the ABA’s Steering Committee on the Unmet Legal Needs of Children, a former member of the ABA’s Commission on Homelessness and Poverty, and a former member of the Editorial Board of the ABA Business Law Section’s Business Law Today. Currently, Jamie also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN) and as a member of the Governing Members of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra (St. Paul, MN).  He is also a former adjunct clinical professor at William Mitchell College of Law (St. Paul, MN).

Jamie lives in St. Paul. He is married to Karen and they have two children, Ben and Amelia. He is a 1985 graduate cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law,  a 1981 LC graduate (BA Political Science) and a 1977 graduate of St. Paul Academy/Summit School.
