Trustee Biography: Frederick D. Jubitz

Fred Jubitz is a second generation owner of Jubitz Corporation, which was founded by his father, Monroe, in 1952. The company is engaged in the operations of Jubitz Travel Center, Jubitz Tire and Retreading, Jubitz Fleet Services, The Portlander Inn and Marketplace and various real estate investments.

Mr. Jubitz attended Lewis & Clark College, Portland State University, and the University of Oregon.

Mr. Jubitz is a member of the National and Western Association of Truck Stop Operators, the Oregon Restaurant and Trucking Associations, the American Retreaders Association. He is the past chairman of America’s Best Truck Stops (Ambest, Inc.) and past president of the North Portland Rotary Club, a former trustee of Jesuit High School, and a current member of SOLV’s Founders’ Circle. He also serves as a board member on the Portland Art Museum, the Oregon Restaurant Association, and the Classic Wine Auction.

Mr. Jubitz and his wife, Gail, live in Portland. They have three sons, Matthew (a Lewis & Clark alumni, living in Los Angeles), David, and Neil.
