Judi Beck

Judi Beck is a philanthropist, community volunteer, and member of the Lewis & Clark Parents Council.

Ms. Beck is originally from the East Coast and attended Rutgers University in New Jersey. She had a long career in marketing and communications before becoming heavily involved with nonprofit organizations. From 1988 to 1990, Ms. Beck was the Northwest regional manager for Business Wire Seattle. From 1985 to 1988, she was marketing director at Inn at the Market in Seattle, and from 1978 to 1984, she was manager of corporate communications at Rand Information Systems in San Francisco. During the mid 1970s and prior to launching her career on the West Coast, Ms. Beck held a number of administrative and production positions at ABC News in New York.

Judi has served on many nonprofit organization boards, including Arts Fund Foundation, KCTS Television, Oxbow Center for Sustainable Agriculture and the Environment, Aids Housing of Washington, and the Seattle Public Library.

Judi is married to Tom Alberg, cofounder of Madrona Investment Group and a director of Amazon.com. Tom and Judi are the parents of Jessica Alberg ’13. They also have a son, Carson, who is a student at the University of Idaho.
