Mark G. Tratos

Mark G. Tratos, managing shareholder of the Las Vegas office of the International Law Firm of Greenberg Traurig, is cofounder of Quirk & Tratos. Currently, he is vice chair of the board of visitors for the National Judicial College and chair of the Board of Visitors of Lewis & Clark Law School. Previously, Tratos was chair of the board of directors for Entertainment Development Corporation and served as general counsel and board member for the Nevada Institute of Contemporary Art and the Lied Children’s Discovery Museum. He was recognized as the top intellectual property and entertainment lawyer in Nevada in the 1999 edition of The Nevada Business Journal, was honored with the 2001 Industry Leader of the Year Award by the University of Nevada at Las Vegas Department of Tourism and Conventions, and was named one of southern Nevada’s most influential men by In Business, November 2001. Tratos has been named as one of the “Best Lawyer’s in America” in the area of intellectual property law each year since 2002.

Tratos has been a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas since 1987. He currently teaches courses in entertainment law, rights of publicity and privacy, and the law of cyberspace at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas’s William S. Boyd School of Law; the business of entertainment at UNLV’s Hotel College; and entertainment and fine arts law at the College of Fine and Performing Arts. Tratos conducts Continuing Legal Education programs across the country on entertainment, Internet, and multimedia law. He has written numerous articles, including several on Internet gaming and the distribution of entertainment content on the Internet.

Tratos and his wife, Sandra, reside in Las Vegas with their three sons.
