As Directors of Academic Advising, Jane and Mervyn oversee the advising program, which involves first-year, continuing, and major/minor advising at Lewis & Clark. The main goal of our Office is to ensure that each student has an optimal advising relationship with his or her faculty advisor and is given the means to succeed at the College. They are also here as an additional advising resources for students: strategies, complaints, you name it. Just drop by or make an appointment with the Advising Program Coordinator (advising@lclark.edu; x7750). We're here to help.

As the Coordinator of Academic Advising Support, I meet with students who have questions, concerns, or confusion about their academic program or who encounter academic difficulties for a variety of reasons, ranging from depression to time management problems to study strategies. After the problem is identified, we talk about options for dealing with it.
