Choosing a Major
A planned course of study can put you on the track to a great career after college. Identifying your values, interests, and career goals will help you find the major that's the perfect fit.
Developing a Resume & Cover Letter
Resumes and cover letters are necessary professional documents whether you are securing part-time or full-time employment; looking for an internship; or applying to a graduate or professional program. Additionally, some graduate and professional programs request a curriculum vitae as a part of the application process. This workshop will assist you in preparation of these documents.
Interviewing Skills
Securing an interview with a solid resume is the first step in a lengthy process. Nailing the interview secures the position - part-time, full-time, internship, graduate student - be certain you are prepared by attending this presentation. We will practice a mini interview so please bring a draft of your resume with you.
Job Search Strategies
Looking to secure full-time or part-time employment? This workshop is designed to support students researching opportunities for work. Career Advising staff will provide an overview of the job/internship process. Additionally, immediately following the presentation there will be an opportunity for students to ask any specific questions related to their own job search needs.
Securing an Internship
Designed to assist first year, sophomore, and junior students who may be looking for internship experiences that challenge and develop new skill sets and expose them to new and different working environments.
Seniors Only
Are you graduating this academic year? Hoping to be employed immediately (or soon) after graduation? Have you started researching opportunities? Prepared professional documents necessary for application? How about practiced your interviewing? Reviewed your financial needs?
