Andrew Associates
This company headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, recruits nationally for executive management, senior information technology and financial management, supply chain management, and top-tier technical level individual contributors in information systems. Many of the technical searches are for specialists with Oracle, SAP, People Soft, or similar ERP software solutions.
The company searches out the best candidates for clients, experts considered the best by their peers, not just the best available. Andrew Associates speak with people who know excellent prospects (who are likely not looking for a new job), and convince those qualified prospects to consider moving to our client's position.
Internship Tasks and Responsibilities
These internships will be related to how an executive search firm conducts its business. Internship projects will be three to eight weeks in duration, and will require most students to have transportation to the offices located in Lake Oswego. Some projects will require the interns to set appointments and meet with corporate managers in and around the Portland and Willamette Valley area. It is possible that one of the interns may actually supervise one or more of the projects.
Projects will be useful to the firm's decision to: increase the capacity to do recruiting, add one or two extra services to current capabilities, improve communications with clients and job seekers.
Although the intern positions are unpaid, they will enable students to get a sobering perspective of job market realities, get an advantage over other students in getting in front of hiring managers, manage the interview process from the student's perspectives, and manage relations with recruiters in the mid and later stages of their career.

The Bureau of Economics of the FTC has several vacancies for economic research analysts. The Bureau of Economics conducts economic studies, supports antitrust and consumer protection investigations and litigation, analyzes existing and proposed consumer protection rules, and studies and competitive impact of regulations for the Commission.
