FRENCH 230: France Past and Present In Text, Image, and Sound
We will explore French history, society, and culture from the origins of France through the present day in interdisciplinary fashion, through the study of texts, film, music, and the visual arts. The strong foundation in French Studies offered by this course will benefit ALL students interested in France and the Francophone world. Students in this course will be responsible for suggesting and developing portions of its content. Be ready to take initiative! Emphasis will be placed on active contribution and independent work.
French language skills are welcome, but NOT required!
