Critical Language Summer Scholarship (Russian and other languages)
The US government wants you to study critical foreign languages (Russian is one of them) this summer, and it will pay for your trip to and academic study at the country of the language you decide to study. The program offers Russian at several proficiency levels in several Russian cities:
1. Intermediate and Advanced Russian in Nizhny Novgorod
2. Intermediate and Advanced Russian in Samara
3. Intermediate and Advanced Russian in Astrakhan
4. Advanced Russian in Tomsk, Russia
Eligibility:
1. All applicants must be U.S. citizens
2. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a U.S. degree-granting program at the undergraduate or graduate level.

The Middlebury College summer Language Schools are pleased to announce the Kathryn Davis Fellowships: Investing in the Study of Critical Languages. These fellowships, endowed by Kathryn Davis, fund the cost of tuition, room, board, and a travel stipend for individuals to study Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese, Portuguese or Russian at the Middlebury Language Schools for the summer of 2009. Middlebury will be awarding 100 fellowships for the summer of 2009, and we encourage working professionals, as well as current graduate and undergraduate students, to apply:
