On Friday, Nov 13 at 7 pm, Friends of Rain, Lewis & Clark’s own faculty new
music ensemble, kicks off its 2009-10 season with an energetic concert of
chamber works entitled “New Music on Fire!”

The program features six “fiery” works that embody energy, drama and intensity:
Michael Daugherty’s “Firecracker,” Leanna Kirchoff’s “As Sparks Fly Upward,”
Ryo Noda’s “Improvisation,” Sydney Hodkinson’s “Kerberos,” Stravinsky’s Elegie for solo viola and Chris Rogerson’s “Four Autumn Landscapes for Clarinet and
Piano.”

Admission is free.  A suggested donation of $10 will be taken at the door.  A
reception will follow the concert in the foyer.
