Professional Biography
I completed my Ph.D. in 2005 at the University of California, Berkeley. I was co-advised by Drs. Wayne Sousa and Thomas Bruns, The title of my dissertation was “Ecological factors affecting forest encroachment into coastal California grasslands”.
Afterwards, I worked as a National Parks Ecological Research Fellow at UC Berkeley and Point Reyes National Seashore. I studied interspecific competition among ectomycorrhizal fungi with Dr. Thomas Bruns.
In August 2007, I began working at Lewis and Clark College as an assistant professor of biology. Please see my C.V. for additional details about my education, research, and teaching background.
