My favorite thing about L&C is the beautiful scenery. This campus is gorgeous! Even as an Economics major, I have time to be creative and participate in the Dance Extravaganza and choir, and Acting was my favorite class.

I also have a few jobs on campus, including math tutor, campus tour guide, and phonathon caller. When I have some free time from all of those things, I love to read (Anne of Green Gables is my favorite book), sing, dance, and play the piano.

This campus is a very peaceful place. I think my favorite thing about it is the bridge through the forest between the residence halls and the academic side of campus. It makes you feel like you are in the middle of a forest, a million miles from anything. When I was a prospective student, I had to visit in order to get a feel for the school. It worked better than any catalog or website could.

Inspired by my abroad trip to Cuba in the fall of 2007 and my experiences living in Africa, I'm planning to do Peace Corps after I graduate. Their representatives come to campus frequently, and I think that it's a testament to the L&C community that so many interested students show up. The people here want to change the world and make it better for everyone. I hope I can help.
