Annie Strachan '10, Admissions Intern 2008-2009

It is hard to believe that I am halfway through my LC experience! Junior year is already underway and I get the feeling that this could be the best one yet...

This fall I'm living off campus, which, although slightly daunting, is fantastic. Before college I spent four years at a boarding school in Southern California, so living in a house will be a welcome change.

For the last twenty years I've split my time between Edgecomb, Maine and Yungaburra, Far North Queensland, Australia. Making Portland, Oregon my third home has been wonderful. There is so much going on in this little city, from coffee, homework and people watching at Powell's Books to concerts or salsa dancing downtown.

I am an International Affairs major (and tentative Latin American Studies minor). Last year I was on a LC Overseas program to Havana, Cuba, one of the most complicated and spectacular places I've ever been. I absolutely love traveling, and can't wait for my next adventure to Sierra Leone this January!!
