Molly Hetz '11

Admissions Intern '09-'10 

Watsup, my name is Molly Hetz and I am a Junior at Lewis and Clark College.

I am originally from Berkeley, California, a liberal city in the East Bay. Over these past two years I have come to call this amazing city home. This year I will be living a few blocks away from campus with four of my close friends. I am extremely excited about making a home off campus, and further exploring the Portland Community.

I am very enthusiastic about beginning my Junior year here at Lewis and Clark. Last year I traveled abroad on one of Lewis and Clark’s Overseas Programs to East Africa. In East Africa I studied Swahili, East African Colonial History, and Islam. When I returned back from this semester abroad I declared a major in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Gender studies.

During my past two years at Lewis and Clark College I have participated in several on campus groups, one of my favorites being the Women’s Lacrosse team. Playing on a club sports team at Lewis and Clark has been a great way for me to continue my love for sports in a less intense climate, as well as great way to meet lots of amazing people. In addition to the Women’s Lacrosse team Lewis and Clark features nine club sports teams, as well as 19 varsity teams. So for all those athletic enthusiasts there are plenty of organizations you can become involved in.

As an intern this year I am excited to get to know the administrative side of campus, as well as become more involved in what goes on behind the scenes of Lewis and Clark.
