zach2008Whelp, it's back in the saddle again! I just came off an enlightening experience in Ecuador last spring. And now I am returning to our picturesque hill reinvigorated and looking to continue to expand my horizons both in and out of the classroom.

I originally come from San Antonio, Texas, which to some is a long haul to go for college, but I may find myself never leaving the cozy overcast and drizzle of the Northwest. There were many factors that drove me over the two thousand miles away from home. One of which is the city of Portland. It is a liberal, eco-friendly city that is very easy to explore with its friendly atmosphere and superb public transportation.

The other of course is our school environment. I'll can be found in just about every square inch of this campus, from the music department to the sports facilities, and the academic buildings to the residence halls. I'm an economics major, environmental studies minor, mixing the two opposing theoretical approaches to find solutions to one of the most difficult tasks in human history. Outside of the classroom, I am hoping to rejoin many of the groups that I found myself in the first three semesters on campus, while also trying to branch out more. But the one thing I am most excited to return to is working in KLC, our school online radio show.

It sounds like a lot to juggle around, but that is what college is all about, right?! If have any questions feel free to contact me!

A big Texan farewell,

Zach
