Connect with Prospective

Students Over Free Lunch!

Job Description and Application

Being a Lunch Host is a wonderful opportunity to share your experiences at Lewis and Clark with prospective students. As such, it is not necessary to have previous experience to be a good host; your job is to help visiting students get a feel for the campus community by answering their questions over lunch.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Lunch hosts host students one to two days per week, having one primary day and one back-up day. Hosts pick up visiting students at 11:45 am or 12:30 pm at the Frank Manor House on their designated days of the week.

Hosts assist students in navigating the dining hall and learning about meal options. Throughout lunch, hosts should encourage students to ask about student life at L&C, academic experiences, and campus opportunities.

If hosts are unavailable on their assigned day, it is their responsibility to find replacement hosts.

Hosts may be asked to host students for open houses and special admissions events.

Compensation for students will be a meal ticket each time they host.

Selection is based on demonstrated interest, schedule availability, and verified academic good standing.

Applications for the Fall 2009 semester are due at the mandatory training session on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00 am in JR Howard 102.
