Brian D. White
Assistant Director of International Students and Scholars
Brian joined the Lewis & Clark staff in 1997. He advises both international students and Third Culture Kids (US citizens coming to the College from outside the US). Brian has lived and worked in China and Japan, and led an overseas program for Lewis & Clark College in East Africa. He holds bachelors and masters degrees in literature. Before landing at Lewis & Clark, Brian worked as a paralegal, a shipping agent, a public relations specialist, and an English language instructor.
Brian is a CD junkie, favoring the music of Jackie Mittoo, Tony Allen, the Meters, and Studio One. His favorite books include Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children, John Barth’s The Sotweed Factor, Chip Kidd’s The Cheese Monkeys, and anything by Archer Mayor. Brian is an avid outdoors enthusiast who hikes, bikes, and fly fishes.
