Transfer Students

Transferring to Lewis & Clark College

Transfer students bring a welcome maturity and diversity to Lewis & Clark College. The approximately 60 to 70 new transfer students who enroll each year are a very important part of the College's entering student group. Transfers are admitted on the same selective basis as first-year students and are eligible for financial aid and housing. Transfer students are expected to have achieved their preparation for Lewis & Clark through high school and early college coursework, and to have further demonstrated their ability to succeed in the Lewis & Clark curriculum by appropriate course selection and grades received.

The Frequently Asked Questions section will answer many of your questions about the transfer process. Please read it thoroughly. More information can be found in the college catalog.

Transfer applicants are encouraged to visit the campus and schedule an interview with the transfer counselor. Individual interviews are available Monday through Friday. Interview times may be limited, especially in February and March, so please call in advance to schedule an appointment. Interviews are most valuable when students bring a copy of their college transcript(s) for an initial evaluation of transfer credit. For more information about interviewing, please go to our interview page.
