ENVS Brownbag Talks: The Sacagawea Series

The Sacagawea Series

1st Friday of Each Month (Begins 10/2)

JR Howard 302 Conference Room

12:40-1:40 PM

The Sacagawea Series, ENVS’ informal program of brownbag lunch talks, resumes this fall! If you’re a student with an environmentally themed experience that you’d like to share, we’re interested in hearing from you. Have you recently completed an overseas program at one of our international research sites? Did you have a really cool experience at an internship? Are you working on a research project and want to discuss your findings?

Speaking at the Sac Series is a great way to both build community with your fellow ENVS students and get some excellent public speaking experience. Last year’s series included talks from an IA major who traveled to India to perform independent research on solid waste recycling, and an ENVS/English double major who traveled to Mexico as part of her Mellon Initiative-funded research project.

If you’re interested in speaking and would like to pitch a talk idea, contact Jim or Pete. We will publish the schedule of talks as soon as it’s been confirmed.
