News and RSS feeds

Effective fall semester 2009, the ENVS Program decided to experiment with a new way of sending out news to its students, staff, and faculty using the new LiveWhale web functionality Lewis & Clark College inaugurated this summer, specifically via tagging of LiveWhale news items and what are called RSS feeds.  Our new effort included a set of training sessions and a help wiki designed to get everyone up to speed on how to use MyLC as an RSS reader to conveniently access our news.

We’d like to know how this new approach is working.  Please email Jim Proctor to acknowledge that you’ve read this announcement, and offer your thoughts as to the merits of this RSS-based system relative to our previous Moodle forum-email system.
