Environmental Studies

Jim ProctorDirector's Welcome

I'd like to extend a special welcome to prospective students and other members of the online community interested in our Environmental Studies Program at Lewis & Clark College. It has been a pleasure to serve as Director since returning to my native Oregon in 2005.  Portland is of course a great place to live and pursue a degree in environmental studies: it has consistently been named the number one green city in the U.S. But the environmental issues the world faces are many and complex, and our students put Lewis & Clark's liberal arts tradition blending thought and practice to good use in projects that span the globe.  Here are just a few links on our website you may find of interest:

It would be great to meet you if you visit Lewis & Clark campus; just contact ENVS (see contact info at right) and we can schedule a time to chat. Thanks for visiting our site, and please be in touch.
