Summer Sessions
Registration
Students may register by mail or in person for Summer Sessions. Students may not register for Summer Sessions using WebAdvisor. Please see the Summer Calendar for important registration dates.
Lewis & Clark College Summer Sessions has open enrollment for students who have completed high school. Academically advanced high school juniors and seniors may enroll with the consent of the Director of Summer Sessions. See our Information for High School Students page for application procedures.
Registration and participation in Summer Sessions does not constitute admission to any degree-granting program of the College.
Ready to Register?
Check the Course Schedule for the course number, section number, credits, days, times and any course fees associated with your selected classes. Undergraduates may take a maximum course load of 9 semester credits per session, or 10 credits if approved for overload.
Print out and complete the Summer 2009 Registration and Payment Form. Attach a check for your deposit of $100 per session plus class fees, if any. You may also pay full tuition and fees upon registration. Checks should be made payable to Lewis & Clark College. Please designate the summer session[s] in which you are enrolling on the check.
Early registration is encouraged. If insufficient registration is received for any course by mid-May (for Session I) or by mid-June (for Session II), the class will be canceled and students notified by email. Students will have the option of obtaining a refund or registering for a different course.

Registrations and initial Deposits/Payments may also be hand-delivered to the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar's Office is located in Templeton Student Center, first floor south, and is open weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Continuing LC students can access their registration on Webadvisor.
New students will receive confirmation of their registration by email, if they provide their email address on the registration form. Otherwise, registration confirmations will be sent by mail.
Refund of Deposit
Session deposits may be refunded if all courses are dropped by one week prior to the first day of the session for which the deposit was made. Drop requests must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar. Please see the Summer Calendar for the dates; no refunds will be issued after these dates.

Policies and Procedures
Course Descriptions
Course descriptions (including prerequisites) may be accessed through links from the Course List.
A course prerequisite indicates the background needed for successful completion of the course. Students who have questions after reading a course description may contact the instructor.
Courses numbered 100-299 are lower-division; those numbered 300-499 are upper-division undergraduate courses.
Final Examinations
Final Examinations are administered on the last day of class unless otherwise specified by the instructor.
Cancellation
A course with insufficient enrollment may be canceled. In such an event, students may receive a refund or register for a different course. The College reserves the right to cancel or modify any course and to change dates, times, and instructors as necessary.
