PSY 105-02 - Perspectives in Film: Alfred Hitchcock

Content: An introduction to the films of Alfred Hitchcock. We will view 12 of Hitchcock’s films: Blackmail, Sabotage, The 39 Steps, Shadow of a Doubt, Notorious, Strangers on a Train, Rear Window, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho, The Birds and Marnie. Supplemental videos will present some of Hitchcock’s working practices and examples of his work in TV. Readings will include critical analyses. (May not be applied toward a major in psychology.)
Prerequisite: None.
