Summer Happenin’s

Students who chose to live on campus this summer called Stewart Hall their home while they studied, took classes, researched, or just enjoyed life in Portland during the city’s warmest season.  There was no shortage of fun to be had, and residents enjoyed some awesome programs put on by Campus Living and the Stewart Area Director, Charlie Ahlquist.

Since many in the bunch were international students, RA Carolyn Worthge chose to lead a few programs to show off the beautiful state of Oregon.  The first, to Multnomah Falls, was a success, followed by a very windy trip to the beach at Seaside.  Additionally, RA Worthge and fellow RA Lillie Mae Stone hosted movie nights, a 4th of July BBQ, a volunteer trip, and a night of swing dancing downtown!

The summer programs provided much enjoyment, but offered only a taste of the great things to come this school year!  Here’s to more excitement come fall!
