LINCS Peer Mentor Program

Interested in the LINCS Peer Mentor Program?

The Lewis and Clark Intercultural Network for Connecting Students (LINCS) is a popular peer-mentorship program focusing on diversity, retention and ensuring students are successful once they arrive on campus. The program helps incoming students of different cultural backgrounds adjust to life at Lewis & Clark and most importantly--it's fun!

LINCS pairs incoming students with successful returning students. The program provides opportunities for new students to connect with resources on campus and develop relationships with Lewis & Clark faculty, staff, and students.

New LINCS meet their mentor during New Student Orientation when the LINCS program hosts an ice cream sundae welcome event. New LINCS will also have weekly contact with their Mentor, in addition to regularly scheduled programs and events throughout the academic year. Previous programs have included off campus trips to the Oregon Coast, ice-skating, and Portland Trailblazers games as well as information on cultural awareness and identity, time management, semester dinners with faculty and administrators, summer internship opportunities, and much more!

Who Are the Mentors?

LINCS_02.jpg

LINCS Mentors are successful returning students who are active in the Lewis & Clark Community. To become a mentor they went through an application and an interview process--these students are dedicated and excited to meet you! Our mentors come from many different cultures and have lived all over the country, and abroad. They look forward to welcoming you to campus and showing you all about life at LC.
