John R. Schneider

I was born in Eugene, Oregon, at Sacred Heart Hospital on the campus of the University of Oregon. I have not been away from school since that time. I got my Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska and was an assistant professor of counseling and psychology at Montana State University before coming to Lewis & Clark a Director of the Counseling Center in 1977. I have taught graduate and undergraduate classes, taken overseas programs, and served on many committees as a member of the College. I have supervised more than a hundred practicum students, thirty Ph.D. interns, and five residencies. My son and my brother are both graduates of Lewis & Clark College.
