February 12th, 2016

  • 3:00pm - 4:30pm: Meeting of the Committee on Diversity & Inclusion
    You are welcome to attend the February meeting of the committee.  You may attend the meeting to see how the committee works or share your ideas or questions online.  Space is limited, so the honor of a response is requested if you plan to attend.
  • Image preview 12:00pm: EMPLOYEE FITNESS - INDOOR CYCLING
    Indoor Cycling is taught by Suzanne Brauer, PE/A Instructor, on Fridays at 12-12:45 pm in the Pamplin Gym Foyer, or outside on the Patio, weather permitting.

    All levels of fitness can ride and sweat together on a stationary bike through a fitness journey of timed intervals and terrain simulations.

    It’s fun and social.  Everyone is welcome.  All levels can play.  It happens on the West Court of the Pamplin Sports Center Gym on Fridays from 12 noon - 1:00 pm.

    Join your LC colleagues for happy hour at Maggie’s every second Thursday of the month.
  • Image preview 12:00pm: EMPLOYEE FITNESS - CORE & STRETCH
    Core & Stretch is taught by Suzanne Brauer, PE/A Instructor, on Thursdays at 12-12:45 pm in the Class Room 10 Downstairs in the Pamplin Center.

    Spend some time on two of the most important things you can do for your body…abs, back, and center core strengthening, along with stretching for the flexibility of your connective tissue, joints, and muscles.

    Labyrinth walking is an ancient form of spiritual meditation and contemplation that transcends traditional religious boundaries.  Come and experience the simplicity and peace of this timeless spiritual practice.  Sponsored by the Interfaith Council.

  • Image preview 12:00pm: EMPLOYEE ACTIVITY - WATER RUNNING
    It’s fun and feels good to run with little or no impact forces on the body.  Everyone is welcome.  All levels can learn to run in the water…it’s instinctive.  No swimming skills are required.  If you run in the deep, buoyancy belts are available.  It happens in the Zehntbauer Swim Pavilion Pool on Wednesdays from 12-1 pm.
  • Image preview 12:00pm: EMPLOYEE FITNESS - CARDIO TENNIS
    Cardio Tennis is taught by Jimmy Chau, Tennis Coach, on Mondays & Wednesdays at 12-12:45 pm in the Indoor Tennis Dome, or on the outdoor courts, weather permitting.

    Improve your tennis game in a group lesson format with fun conditioning skills and drills that will keep you moving!
  • Image preview 12:00pm: EMPLOYEE FITNESS - METCON FITNESS

    Learn the basics and progressions of fundamental power and olympic lifting.  Conclude each work-out with high intensity “metcon” incorporating weight and gymnastic movements.  Great for those seeking to learn or progress their weight lifting skills.
