BridgeBuilders

Building Diversity at Lewis & Clark

Bridge Picture BridgeBuilders are current students of all backgrounds who help the Office of Admissions in their efforts to recruit and enroll a diverse student body. They ensure continued progress towards this end by building relationships with prospective students of color and first generation college-goers. They also serve as student advisers to the Director and Assistant of Multicultural Recruitment and help develop programming. BridgeBuilders are encouraged to serve in at least one other AIG role to help all prospective students understand our values around diversity and multiculturalism.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary with interest and availability. They may include:

  • To be an e-pal with prospective students who have questions about life at L&C.
  • To attend information/brainstorming sessions.
  • To host a prospective student overnight (for 2 nights) during the College Preview and Admitted Student Open House.
  • To serve on a student panel for on-campus programs or small group visits.
  • To implement ideas developed during brainstorming sessions.

If you're interested in becoming a bridgebuilder please fill out the following interest form and return it to the Manor House as soon as possible.
