I participate in a number of student activities, such as College Outdoors, the Climbing Club, and French Club. I spend a lot of time in the Spider Lab - doing research with my professors. I also work with the Student Leadership & Service Office and the mail room (my work study job).

I've also been a blogger for Admissions and you should check out this year's group: Real Life at L&C! I'm also an overnight host for prospective students!

In my spare time, I love watching movies, reading, spending time outdoors and with my friends. I also like to eat, laugh, play sports (mostly intramurals), and explore Portland. And I love to speak French!

The Portland music scene is really special--I'm on the L&C Music Coalition and I love going to shows and concerts in town. I also spend as much time as I can with my friends, make collages, and surf websites like PerezHilton.com, dlisted.com, and absolutepunk.net.

The best thing about L&C (besides Portland) is the small class sizes. They make me want to actually participate, rather than just chill in the background.

I think the best advice I have for prospective students is to make sure that the college you choose has not only your primary major choice, but also your backup major choices. I've had too many friends transfer out of schools because they found that they didn't like what they thought they would, but then were out of luck when it came to what was next in line.
