Mike Sexton is beginning his 30th year of college admissions, he has served as Dean of Admissions at Lewis & Clark since 1991. He grew up in Buffalo, New York and received his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics. Mike taught high school math and coached soccer and basketball in New Hampshire, then earned his MA in college student personnel in Ohio.
Mike works closely with the offices of Multicultural Affairs, International Students & Scholars and Student Financial Services as well as the Athletics department. He serves on many College committees and is a regional delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling. He can be seen around campus dealing blackjack at Casino Night and attending games and performances. He has run the New York marathon and the Mt. Hood to Coast 196 mile relay race, but since has taken to hiking and climbing mountains; even more importantly, he enjoyed watching his two children successfully navigate the college selection process.
