Matt Poole, Admissions Intern 07-08

Howdy!

I'm Matt, a senior this year at Lewis & Clark, and I'm originally from Lakewood, Colorado. I've been involved in admissions for three years now, hosting prospective students, writing a weekly blog, and giving many, many tours. This year I'm really excited to be an Intern and to get more in-depth in the Admissions process!

I am a Theatre major, and that's exactly where I spend most of my time: the theatre. I've acted in many shows, and I frequently dabble in lighting design, set-building, directing, and most other areas in the theatre. This Spring I'll be directing a play for my Senior Thesis Project, and I'm extremely excited, and only a little frightened.

I'm also involved in the on-campus a cappella group Momo and the Coop, which is one of my favorite groups on campus. I also try to help out in other student groups such as United Sexualities.

Portland has gradually become my new home, and at this time in my life, there is nowhere I'd rather be. It's a perfect city for students and young people, with tons of stuff to do any time of day or night.
