I have really enjoyed my time here at L&C and have been very active on campus. I've participated in many College Outdoors programs. I currently serve as the Political Science representative on the Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB). I also volunteer for SMART (Start Making A Reader Today) through our Office of Leadership & Service.

I'm also very politically active (of course) and am a member of Students for Barack Obama; and I participated in the L&C Washington D.C. semester program.

In my limited spare time, I like to hike and kayak, watch movies with friends, and take naps.

It’s easy to see how easily an L&C education transfers into the real world. I am currently participating in the Washington DC off-campus program.

I really like my major and all of the classes L&C has to offer. At the same time, I like how many activities there are to do on campus. At any given time, a club is always hosting a program or a group is doing some sort of activity.

During previous semesters, I participated in College Outdoors, ski club, folk dance, and served as a Campus Living Adviser. I like having so many options of extracurricular activities to balance out the academics, and I think it’s important to keep in mind that academics aren’t your entire college career.

I would advise any prospective student to consider what the living situations are like, whether there are clubs that they want to get involved in, and what the location is like. All of these factors make a big difference in your overall experience.
