Yes, but at least 28 credits must be discrete to each major. Can one course count towards both a major and a minor?
Yes, but a minimum of 12 credits must be discrete to the minor. Is there a process for me to create my own majors?
Yes. The student-designed major must be an interdisciplinary major designed with an organized rationale and courses drawn from two or more departments. Applications, submitted by the 6th week of every semester and at the latest by the 6th week of the junior year, are reviewed for approval by the faculty Honors Committee. A faculty advisory committee directs the major. For further information on the student-designed major process and for forms, contact the office of the Dean of the College, x7100. Can I have a student-designed major and a second departmental major?
No. How do I declare my major?
You can do so by getting a "Major/Minor/Advisor Declaration" form from the Registrar’s Office. The form, signed by you and your advisor, is then returned to the Registrar.
