Albany Society
The Albany Society is an honorary organization of alumni who graduated from Lewis & Clark College fifty or more years ago. The society name honors Albany Collegiate Institute, the original name of Lewis & Clark College. Each spring, the office of Alumni and Parent Programs invites the class celebrating their 50th Golden Reunion to attend a breakfast with alumni graduates of fifty or more years.
Founded in 1999, the Albany Society had been a loose knit community that only attended an annual breakfast. Recently, a volunteer organization called the Albany Society Board of Directors emerged under the leadership of 2005 Chair Pat Hibbard. The Board of Directors looks to advance the connection of the College with this special group of alumni through events, communications, and volunteer activities geared specifically to the Albany Society.
