Federal funding supports new Graduate School initiative

Federal funding will enable Lewis & Clark College’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling to train teachers to meet a critical need: American Indian teachers and leaders for American Indian students. The $930,000, four-year grant from the Office of Indian Education of the U.S. Department of Education brings the Graduate School into a consortium relationship with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Indians in Central Oregon.

Board of Alumni solicits nominations

The Board of Alumni is seeking alumni of the College of Arts and Sciences to fill several upcoming vacant seats. Through strategic planning, the board oversees and advises the College on programs to benefit alumni, and on ways that alumni can serve the College. Nominees should have the drive, the focus, and the skills to contribute to the success of the board and the College.

Ethnic Student Services team named

Lisa Webb and Tana Atchley-Juarez joined the campus community in July. Lisa has been named the new director of ethnic student services and associate dean of students at Lewis & Clark College. Joining Webb as assistant director will be Tana. Both began their new posts on July 1.
