Ratte Winner Contributes to Sciences and Student Life
Frances Delaney B.A. ’08 believes there is an advantage to studying science at a small college. By the time she won Lewis & Clark’s highest academic honor, she had devoted countless hours to chemistry study and research—not to mention the arts, humanities, and social sciences, as well as student life on campus.
Fletcher Selected as Dean of Graduate School
E. Scott Fletcher, associate professor and chair of the education department at the University of New Hampshire, will serve as the new dean of the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.
Lewis & Clark Faculty Share Election Expertise

Associate Professors Receive Exploratory Grant
This June, Jerusha and Brian Detweiler-Bedel received a $150,000 grant from the National Science Foundation’s Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement Program. Their project, a training model to organize collaborative student-faculty research, not only works to enhance these faculty-student interactions, but also engages undergraduates in innovative research.
