Eban Goodstein, professor of economics and keynote speaker at last week's opening convocation, has been traveling the country coordinating a national teach-in on global warming solutions. Focus the Nation will culminate in a one-day national symposium held simultaneously on campuses across the country January 31, 2008. Learn more about Goodstein's efforts.!
Lewis & Clark Honors Distinguished Alumni During Alumni Weekend 2007
Lewis & Clark College will honor four alumni on October 18 for their outstanding achievements in service to their communities and the College. The annual Alumni Honors Banquet will recognize Shahzeb Jillani '94, Ward Plummer '62, Patrick Hibbard '52, and David LaFrance '86 as part of the Alumni Weekend tradition. Shaping Ralph Ellison's Legacy
Lewis & Clark's John F. Callahan has played a unique and continuing role in the work of the late Ralph Ellison, author of Invisible Man. Read about the efforts of Callahan and Adam Bradley '96 in this Washington Post article.
Working on the Wild Side
She has been a field biologist in Cameroon, a high-school biology teacher in California, and a student in the nation's top program for exotic-animal keepers and trainers. Now a cheetah specialist at the Cincinnati Zoo, she hopes to expand her conservation work to Africa. Meet Linda Castaneda B.A. '98.
