George Kline

Class of 1999

George works in San Francisco for Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. He is the head trader for the Cooper Network, a portfolio management group specializing in equity and equity derivative strategies. Prior to joining Smith Barney in 2001, George was an associate with Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco. George is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and he is a member of the Market Technician’s Association, the International Federation of Technical Analysts, and the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).

George graduated from Lewis & Clark with a BA in history. He participated in the Italy and New York City programs and was editor of the History department’s newsletter, Footnotes. George’s uncle, Walter Hollands, graduated from Lewis & Clark, MAT ‘91.

George fills his free time by playing Ultimate Frisbee, skiing, reading, and traveling.
