2005 - 2006 Results

This project created a baseline dataset for the EMP. This data will provide a quantitative account of landbirds, invasive plants, and frogs for future projects to compare to. Also, in the future the College will be able to ask what the consequences of construction were after project completion.

Since this is the first year of the new surveys, there are no trends yet; however future surveys will be able to establish trends in bird, invasive plant, and frog populations. Unlike a previous survey (Wold & Craig 1990), which provided no quantitative measure of frequency of observation or abundance, this study allows future studies to quantitatively compare how frequency of encounters changes through time.

Despite the fact that this study was designed for the future, there are still several important findings that arose from this phase. They are organized into results by taxa and can be found by following the links below.
