2008 Distinguished Business Law Graduate
Jeff B. Curtis '86, President and Chief Operating Officer, Tygh Capital Management The Distinguished Business Law Graduate Award is awarded annually to a graduate of the Law School who has demonstrated exemplary leadership, has made a positive mark on the legal or business profession and whose accomplishments have brought honor and distinction to the Law School. This year, the Law School is pleased to bestow this honor upon Jeff B. Curtis, who graduated magna cum laude in 1986 from the Law School. Jeff currently serves on the Law School's Board of Visitors, and is the president and chief operating officer of Tygh Capital Management. Prior to forming Tygh Capital, Jeff had that same role at Columbia Management in Portland, Oregon (1993-2004), where he was responsible for all operations of the company except the investment process. Before joining Columbia, he was a corporate and securities lawyer with the largest firm in the Pacific Northwest, Stoel Rives. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon.
