Fall, Spring or Full-Year Program - Language Intensive

Prerequisite: Chinese 202 (or equivalent) with a "B" average or better in language study.

Program: Study focuses on language immersion in cultural, literary, historical and socio-political contexts. Students live with Chinese college students in dormitories on the campus of Beijing Normal College of Foreign Languages or the Harbin Institute of Technology. Program and independent study trips to other sites in China, as well as excursions to historical sites of interest in and near Beijing enchance the students' understanding of life in contemporary China. Fulfills the overseas study requirement for East Asian Studies, Foreign Languages major and Chinese minor.
